Calendar Integration in Impact
This section describes the native calendar integration with the Pitcher Impact app on various devices and platforms. The Impact application integrates the native system calendar and allows users to sync calls in their local calendar with the application.
Calendar Integration on iPad
Pitcher Impact is integrated with device calendar API, allowing the users to see all calendar meetings inside the Pitcher calendar. This capability allows the users to schedule calls at the correct slot and have visibility of corporate and personal meetings like Outlook & Gmail.
Meetings changed inside the device calendar app (e.g., iCal or Outlook) are automatically embedded and visible inside the Pitcher Calendar Planning view, as shown in the screenshot. Calls planned within Pitcher are synced to CRM to Event object and visible in calendar apps connected to the default calendar selected in iPad/iPhone settings.
Calendar Integration in Windows
Calls planned inside Pitcher are synched to CRM inside Event object same as iOS. In case there is outlook/CRM integration in place, Pitcher can bring down non-customer-meeting events and render them as grayed boxes to provide full visibility.
Outlook button is available to open default calendar inside split view to help users to plan the calls in the correct slot.
Windows bidirectional sync
CRM: When a customer meeting event is changed in CRM after next sync call is updated inside Pitcher Calendar. For outlook to be updated a CRM->Outlook plugin is required.
Pitcher: When a call changed is reflected after next sync in CRM. For outlook to be updated a CRM->Outlook plugin is required.
Calendar Integration For Android
CRM: If an event is changed in the CRM, then after the next sync call it will be updated inside Pitcher Calendar and also in the android’s default calendar.
Pitcher: If a call is changed, this will be reflected after next sync in the CRM and automatically reflected in android’s default calendar offline.
Android Default Calendar: If call is changed it won't be automatically reflected in the Pitcher’s calendar in offline mode and but will reflect after the sync to CRM once online.
