Sustainable Content Creation (SCC) Guidelines
In order to effectively use “Closed Loop Marketing (CLM)” to track progress, effectiveness and assess impact of your sales reps and realign your objectives accordingly - you need to be able to adapt your marketing content regularly. This page gives a walkthrough on the guidelines for Sustainable Content Creation (SCC) to make use of the full potential of your CLM.
Pitcher Enhanced Presentations (PEP)
Create a Pitcher Enhanced Presentation (PEP), a format that combines your ordinary PPT slides with HTML5 elements:
Create an outline of all the slides you are planning to use in your presentation.
Decide where to use Pitcher Admin standard functionality and where your want to integrate HTML5 content.
Leave placeholder slides for the HTML5 content.
Think about a possible division into chapters (sales reps will be able to navigate horizontally across and vertically within chapters).
HTML5 is needed. For example to include sliders, drag & drop, calculators.
HTML5 is not needed for pop-ups, video embedding, survey embedding, zoomed in graph, simple animations, link to other content (references, relevant content).
If you are not sure whether to use HTML5 or standard functionality, please get in touch with your local colleagues to verify.
Principles of Sustainable Content Creation
When integrating HTML5, brief the agency according to sustainable content creation principles:
Request editable PPT (editable means with text boxes that can be edited directly inside the PPT).
If HTML5 is used, make sure flexibility is maximized (agency should know features like XLS based translations, XLS fed calculations).
If you would like to re-use an HTML5 object across multiple PPTs (e.g. a calculator) without re-developing it, please mention dynamic HTML5 asset functionality to the agency.
If the agency does not recognize any of the above functionality contact Pitcher at support@pitcher.com to schedule an agency training.
Track Content Usage
Once you have finished your content piece, in order to enable true CLM, you will need to track the usage of your content by the field force. Separate licenses might be required in order to enable CLM and track the usage of the content:
Familiarize yourself with Pitcher Insight or request Pitcher Insight training.
Create individual reports to track your content and aggregate the reports into dashboards.
Subscribe to dashboards to be automatically emailed to you.
Decide whether to make changes to your content according to reporting results.
