Report Filters

This page gives knowledge about various filters that can be used while accessing different reports in Pitcher Reporting.

Access Filters

For several Report Types, you can include a filter to limit the data in the report you are exporting. Make sure to select your instance(s) first and then click the expand symbol in the bottom right corner as shown below in the Filters section to open a window and select the filters.

  1. Select the instance by typing the initial letters and the options will appear in the dropdown

  2. The selected instance will appear in the panel on the right side

  3. Select the dropdown icon at the bottom left on the Filters section to expand the filters section

Filter Selection

You can select filters from the Filters section. There are different filter groups for different type of reports. For example to get the User Activity Reports you can select the following filters:

  1. Select User - You can filter your report to export data only for specific users if required. Simply select the required user(s) in the box on the left side.

  2. Select Groups - Most Users/devices have group/device keywords. You can generate reports specific to a User Group by selecting the required Groups in the box on the left side. When selecting a group the report will only contain data available for the selected group(s). Select Tag - Most Users/devices have group/device keywords. You can generate a report that adds additional rows to the export showing the Tags you selected. This allows you to analyze for all Users/Instances which user groups are added or not for each user.

  3. The selected filters will appear in the boxes in the right side.

Favourite Filters

You can also save favourite filters for your account and generate report for that filter set.

  1. Click on Favourite Filters Button on the Filters section

2. A pop will appear with the following options:

i. Generate report with favourite filter - It allows to generate report based on saved filters

ii. Save Current Selections - It allows to save currently selected filters

3. Enter a title and click on Save button to save the filter selections. You can then select the saved filter set to generate the report directly without selecting the filters again and again.
