Login to Pitcher Admin

On this page, we will describe the ways to login into Pitcher Admin using different methods. Here, we will also cover user authentication, adding MFA, and how to reset or generate a new password.

Login using Auth0

Pitcher admin uses Auth0 for authentication and authorization service. Auth0 provides a flexible way to authenticate user access to the system.

Multi-Factor Authentication

With Auth0, MFA(multifactor authentication) is introduced, providing an additional layer of security to the user accounts. An MFA allows users to use several ways and add additional devices for authentication. For example, using the device’s biometric authentication to login into the admin portal or using alternative authentication mechanisms such as using TOTP(Time based one-time password), email, and recovery code. Biometric authentication is possible via fingerprint or face recognition service in the device where the portal is accessed.

Steps to Login

  1. To Login navigate to URL→ https://admin.pitcher.com, which will open the login page with the Auth0 form. Please enter your email address and password:

If user opts for the option Remember this device for 30 days then the user session will be active for the next 30 days.

3. Click the Try another method if the device doesn’t support biometric authentication. You will see a list of available methods on their system.

Note: SMS-based OTPs are no longer supported for the P.R.C. (People's Republic of China) region. We highly recommend you to switch to Google Authenticator or similar TOTP provider for logging in to Pitcher Admin.

To generate TOTP you can use authenticator tools provided by Google or Microsoft

The traditional way of authenticating through the code is also available. If enabled, an email verification code will be sent on the registered email.

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is another method of securing your application and your users' identities. MFA adds a layer of security during login that requires users to provide more than one credential to prove their digital identity. Factors can be:

  • Something you are - like a biometric

  • Something you know - like a password

  • Something you own - like a device

Auth0 supports a variety of MFA factors, including:

  • Google Authentication or similar

  • SMS

  • One time recovery code

  • Finger print or face recognition

  • Email

When MFA is triggered, you can change the MFA method using the “Try another method” link.
